CSSD is equipped with a Gettinghe high pressure sterilizer capable of sterilizing all hospital requirements other than items that would perish due to high heat and pressure.
The sterility of the CSSD and the sterilized items leaving the CSSD are monitored by the Microbiology Section of the Durdans Lab.
In addition to the operating theatres, the CSSD supplies sterile material to all wards, the critical care departments and the out patient departments. Durdans Hospital also helps both the state hospitals and the private hospitals when requested.
