About Women's Wellness
Women, who often attend to the health and well-being of their families, tend to neglect their own health, while multi-tasking in an increasingly fast-paced world. As the primary caregivers in a family, it makes sense for women to be responsible about maintaining their own good health in order to look after others well.

Neglecting one’s health can often lead to serious and irrevocable consequences, especially in the case of life threatening diseases. Regular check-ups are advised to identify common problems and avert fatal illnesses.

Clinicians and medical staff at Durdans Hospital are committed to getting you well and keeping you healthy. We offer four women’s wellness programmes where special attention is given to all aspects of women’s health in a comfortable and reassuring atmosphere. These programmes are affordable and will restore your peace of mind with assured confidentiality.

Special attention is given to identifying pre-cancerous conditions such as breast lumps, vaginal discharge and infections. Post-menopausal conditions such as high blood pressure, osteoporosis and high cholesterol can be addressed and monitored. Our expert gynaecologists will address your concerns on issues such as family planning, hormone replacement therapy or fertility issues.

Women’s wellness investigations include:
Mammogram

This is the most effective way of detecting early breast cancer and other breast-related diseases. It uses low energy X-ray radiation system technology
Ultrasound Scan

Ultrasounds are used to detect any abnormalities in the reproductive system such as fibroids and ovarian cysts
Pap Smear

This investigation detects abnormalities in tissue growth in the lower part of the womb that leads to cervical cancer
Bone Density Testing

Low bone density can lead to osteoporosis. The BMD or Bone Mineral Density Test is a painless, non-invasive test that evaluates the potential for a fracture and the need for treatment by screening for signs of mineral loss and bone thinning.
