Dr. Mahesha Dabare is a Consultant Anaesthesiologist at Durdans Hospital.
She has a clinical attachment in cardiac anaesthesia and Intensive care in Max Institute of Medical excellence, max Hospital New Delhi, India.
She is a Board certified Specialist in Anaesthesiology with special training in intensive care and has previously served as a consultant Anaesthetist at Base Hospital Dambadeniya, Sri Lanka.
She has also been a specialty registrar in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at City Hospital Birmingham, UK and has extensive experience in emergency care, preoperative optimisation and perioperative care including General Surgery, Trauma Orthopaedics, ENT Obstetrics and Plastic Surgery. Her special interests are patient centred care in Cardiac Anaesthesia and critical care and Transoesophageal echocardiography.
Dr. Dabare is experienced in providing adult and paediatric medical and surgical intensive care and also in providing outreach service to wards, in addition to emergency resuscitation of patients in ETU and cardiac catheter Lab or any location required in the hospital.
She has experience in providing effective cardio pulmonary resuscitation for paediatric and adults including post resuscitation care.
She practices safe anaesthesia/sedation for minimally invasive and minor procedures and investigations.
Dr Dabare is a member of the College of Anaesthesiologists and Critical Care in Sri Lanka, a life member of SLMA and is a fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthesiologists, UK.
She has contributed to some research papers, audits and publications related to critical care.
She contributes to staff teaching and training activities for continuous professional development.
